These days almost all portfolio type photography is produced digitally, long gone are the days of 35mm film.

The new digital era brings exciting times for photography, it’s never been easier to take professional standard photos with little experience, saying that, the arrival of digital photography has also seen a big increase in the quality of professional photography so competition to produce top quality images is still extremely competitive.

Nowadays photography is a combination of camera and computer. Initially shooting the image within the usual professional parameters then digitally enhancing the image on computer utilising software programmes such as PhotoShop.

In Model Studio our office / data room is fully equipped with a dual core powered PC with multicard reader, this is an ideal opportunity to sit down with a model during or after a photo shoot and view images taken. Photoshop 7 and Adobe’s latest editing software CS2 is installed so images can be retouched immediately if required. The images may also be written to CD or DVD as writing software in also installed on the studios PC.

At Model Studio we can also provide a professional re-touching service for either print or web format, images for web sites usually require some form of watermark to protect the image from being stolen and used on other sites. Images taken for print and best taken in high quality format then saved on the PC after retouching as Tiff’s this technique will reproduce excellent quality A4 prints.
